ABOUT US
Sale Polocrosse Club is almost into it’s 62nd Year as a club. An excellent club, with generations of families playing, from as young as 7 to as old at 70. The Sale Polocrosse Club’s members might vary in age, but not in their willingness to be a united club. We are a very welcoming club for anyone wanting to take up the sport or even just come and watch one of our carnivals. We host around three carnivals a year which are shown in the What’s On section of our website.
WHERE ARE WE?
We are located on the Princess Highway as you head out of Sale towards Traralgon. We share the grounds with the Sale
Camp-drafting Society. The Club has a great mix of players that have been playing for many years and some who have just
started, this is what makes the Sale Polocrosse Club a great community to be apart of.
WHAT IS POLOCROSSE?
Polocrosse is very similar to lacrosse, just on horses. The players each have a racket in their hand which they use to carry a ball down the field and score between the goals (white poles). There are 6 players on each team, with only three being on the field at any one time. The players work together throwing the ball around, trying to get it down to their goals and score. All whilst the opposition are riding around trying to get the ball of you. A fantastic and very enjoyable sport! Each year we get together for practices before the season starts, as well as other social occasions are simply just enjoy what we do.
